Located 365km west of Giza and 200km north of Farafra Oasis. Bawitin is the capital of Bahareya Oasis, it is most famous for the huge cemetery dating back to the Greco Roman period located in its capital El-Bawiti. It is known for its sunny dry weather throughout summer and winter its natural springs (cold and hot) amount to 398 springs.
